Daily Prayer December 25, 2022

 


Dear Heavenly Father, we love You. Give us eyes to see people of all nations as recipients of Your grace and joy. Help our hearts to know the love of Christ and to honor Him with our unyielding devotion in this and every season.

We find hope and strength in knowing that Your light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. I gather in all the goodness and light, in gratitude. I attend to the shadows and what they say to me, seeking healing, courage, forgiveness.

Teach me to live in the knowledge that you who care for me today, will care for me tomorrow and all the days of my life. Continue to create me, guide me and shape me. This is all I ask, in Your Name, I pray.

    DEAR God I know that you are greater than my current circumstances and I have been full of pride and thinking I know everything when I know so little forgive me for not living my life as example of your Great love and compassion I know now that I have put many peoples lives at stake with my ignorance and the belief that most of the world is good. I thought because you made everything and you made us in your image that essentially at its core every man is good. I see now that there is way more evil than I can imagine in this world and I'm now never sure what side it's on.But your word says that you have overcame the world and that if I run to you that you will be my strong tower. I need refuge Lord today quickly and speedy I feel that the enemy is here encamped on all sides. Forgive me for my sins forgive me father for any harm I have ever caused anyone or brought there way. Either intentionally or unintentionally. Ease lead guid and direct me today and all the days if my life. I miss my family and most of all I miss my son God and I'm tired of shoving things inside that hole to ease the pain because it only brings more pain.

  A tragedy is a story in which the main characters succumb to the difficult circumstances in their lives. Some might call Jesus’ life a tragedy. As an adult, He was homeless and often misunderstood.   Dear Lord, help me to go about the tasks and duties of this day with the remembrance that I am Your servant therein. Make me honest, painstaking, and cheerful. And, grant that all I do and say may bring good to others and glory to Your Holy Name. May I have the courage never to be afraid of anyone. May I have the generosity to bear ill-feeling toward no-one. Lead me to live in such a way as to treat others in the same way as I would like to be treated. Inspire me never to be violent in thought, word or action, and lead me to conquer evil with goodness. Let me go forth in Your peace, keeping Your Spirit always in my mind. And bless me, I pray, that I might always follow Your will and live in the radiance of Your blessing. Amen

  The Bible compares a person who trusts in God to a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river (Jer. 17:8). Because its roots are well-nourished, this tree survives soaring temperatures. And, during drought, it continues to yield fruit. Even strong trials cannot blow down a person who is rooted in God. Like a firmly rooted tree, people who rely on God have a sense of stability and vitality despite the worst circumstances. In contrast, people who place their trust in other humans often live with a sense of instability. The Bible compares them to a desert shrubs that are frequently malnourished and stand alone (Jer. 17:6). So, it is with the spiritual lives of people who forsake God. Where are our roots? Are we rooted in Jesus? Are we a bridge that leads to Him? If we know Christ, we can testify to this truth: Blessed are those who trust in the Lord (Jer. 17:7).
