We ask ourselves, what on earth am I here for? What is my purpose? Peter in the Bible is known to identify people, especially the Christians. This is how he identified us: We are a Chosen Race, We are Pitied, We are God's Possession, We are Holy and We are the Holy Priests. This can be found in 1 Peter 2:9-10. How did he came up this identity? It is through Christ. We got it from Him. We are chosen by GOD. We are pitied by GOD. We are possessed by GOD. We are set apart as holy by GOD. We are invested as royal priests by GOD. We are called from darkness into His light. We are God's Special People. We are precious and special in His eyes. Do not mind what other people will say or feel about you. If you are not special in their lives, well, you are special in God's eyes. You have a purpose, you are a treasure.

Father, You are the craftsman who carved me, You are the one who knows what shape my life should take. Thank You for molding me into the image that You have planned. Help me to trust that the pieces and parts that You formed from me are the right ones. Help me to go about the tasks and duties of this day and the week to come with the remembrance that I am your servant. Make me an honest, painstaking, and cheerful person. Let that all I do and say may bring good to others and glory to your Holy Name. Support me all the day long of this life, until the evening comes, the busy world is silenced, the fever of life is over and my work is done. Grant me a safe lodging, and a holy rest and a peace. This is all we ask in Your most precious name. Amen.

What does it mean to hide His Words in our hearts? It is to treasure it up like your most valuable thing. In our hearts, the Word will be there. Though unseen, it constituted the secret power by which He was governed. It is permanently deposited there, as the most valuable treasures. We must carefully treasure up the word of God, declare it to others, meditate on it, and delight in it with all of our hearts. And then by His grace, we shall act according to it. Once the Word is stored in our hearts, this will protect us from sinning. If God’s word is hidden in our hearts, the issues of our lives are going to be affected by it. And since God’s Word steers us away from sin, the issues of our life will also be steered away from sin. We will not be hiding God’s word for the purpose of concealing it from the view or discovery of others. It will be hidden for the purpose of safekeeping so as not to lose it. Let us treated God’s Word like a precious treasure that we wanted to keep. Hide God&

Dear Heavenly Father, as I face another day, I know I am going to face many challenges, please help me to overcome those things. Help me to trust in You that You will guide me in everything that I will do. Come to me now, Lord, and stay with me all day. Please help me also to turn my worries into prayer. My problems are better in Your hands than in my own. I commit myself to give this day to you. Let your Spirit encompass my mind. Let me know your presence. Steer my hand, direct my words, guide my thoughts in everything I think and say and do. Amen

Have you encountered such time that you know that it is wrong, but still you did it? We may be aware about what is right but wrong, but our flesh is really weak. And, our heart is also deceitful and desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9). We have to fight against these ungodly things. How? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak (Mark 14:38). Stand firm on your faith. It takes a matured person with strong faith and conviction in the Lord to resist temptations. Be rooted in His Word and call upon His Name always. You can do it, my brothers and sisters in Christ. "Read your Bible, pray everyday, and you will grow", as an old children hymn said. Once you are rooted in His Word, you can just handle temptations very well. You now know how to combat it, with the help and grace of God.

Dear Lord, the skies are telling of Your glory and the wonders of Your love. Thank You for making the sacrifice that has secured my freedom, salvation and eternal life. I look with hope to the day when my knowledge of your glory will never be hidden by the concerns of the world. Forgive me for all the time I spend with my face bent to the things of earth, Your Spirit ignored and forgotten. May I learn to love You in a way that honors the love You have shown me. Let me know you every moment of time, forever. I thank You for you are always there, willing to show yourself to me and guide me and comfort me. Burn your love on my heart. Let me be on fire in serving You and loving You. Amen

"Fall seven times, stand up eight". This may be a famous quote from a well-known basketball player, but this also has a lesson to each and everyone of us. When we fall, we have to stand up and move on. We are all at risk for falling into temptations and trials, but we must be careful that it will not fall into sin and condemnation. It’s easy to trick ourselves into believing that we’re done with a particular sort of sin. Even when we’ve struggled through the worst of it—admitting our problem, repenting, and recommitting ourselves to following God’s ways—temptation may come calling. God makes it possible for us to avoid falling back into the same patterns. He does this by providing a way out of the sinful act we’re considering. Our part is to respond to His offer of escape (Our Daily Bread) When trials and difficulties come, always look on the bright side of the bad things. Do not lose hope. In every trials and temptations, God will give you a way out of this. He will not le

Dear Lord, You are the God who sees us, and yet we can still run to You. We need You to do in us what we cannot do for ourselves. Please remove any mountain of pride or valley of despair that would keep us from welcoming You into our lives. Grant me that desire to spend time in your presence always. Help me to hear your call and to turn down the world’s volume so that I can hear it. Dwell with me., Lord. Let my words today build up someone for Your glory. Help us not to fall into temptation. And, help us to encourage each other each and everyday, for the greater glory of Your Kingdom. Amen

When was the last time you encouraged or help a friend, or even a stranger? Were they grateful and thankful that you did this random act of kindness? As brothers and sisters in Christ, we must never get tired in building each other up. God instructed us in His Word in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 that we must encourage and help each other, just as we are already doing. How can we be a help to others? Speak blessings. Speak words that will make them lead to Christ and experience His love and greatness unto us. Build them up, too. Do the things that will make them soar high and achieve. Help them from their problems and frustrations.  Many people today, even Christians, are discouraged and defeated. Some come disappointed about life. Our warm encouragement might be just what they need. This is a common blessing that all we can share. This is a basis for mutual guidance. We are responsible to each and everyone for encouragement and bolstering in faith, love, and hope. Other people need our supp

Dear God, as I stumble through this life, help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more cheer than gloom, spread more joy than despair. Let me remind those I meet that our final existence will be total joy, and that we may taste this joy through the Spirit even today. Have mercy on me according to your steadfast love. With Your abundant mercy, cleanse me from all my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and forgive me from my sin. Never let me become so indifferent that I will fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a child, or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged. Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people, make them happy, and forget momentarily all the temporary unpleasantness in their lives. This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

How does it feel to be in the dark world, where you really cannot see anything? It really feels like you're blind where you can actually see things because your eyesight is not yet lost. As Christians, we should be the light of this lost world. We will give light to all who need light instead of hiding our light. We will hold forth this light before men that they may see what a life the disciples of Christ lead. By seeing this, we can glorify the Lord for redeeming, transforming, and inspiring the lost, and opening to themselves the way to like redemption and transformation. Let your light shine means letting your holy life, your pure conversation, and your faithful instructions, be everywhere seen and known always. In all societies, in all business, at home and abroad, in prosperity and adversity, let it be seen that you are real Christians. Jesus also says, “Since you are light, SHINE!”. This “light” is not equated with good works. Rather, the light illumines the good works in

Dear God, You are such an amazing comfort to us. You are the King eternal, immortal and invisible. Before the mountains were made, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God; the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank You that our salvation and spiritual well-being does not depend on our failing minds and bodies, but on You and to Your Word. You alone are God, and do not change. And because of this, we may hope to be preserved. Have mercy on me, forgive me for these offenses and any I might have omitted from forgetfulness or ignorance. And, I pray that your Holy Spirit may dwell with me today and throughout the new week, to comfort me, to give me strength against temptation, and to guide me into the path of righteousness. We glorify Your Name, forevermore. Amen.

What do people think, when they hear your name? How do you feel when people respect you a lot? Or, how do you feel when people look up to you? When you just have a good reputation, it is indeed a great honor to serve the people. Serving the people also means you're being a good steward of the Lord. Having a good reputation is much more greater than the riches of this world. It is more desirable than those treasures around us.  Your reputation is an asset far more important than anything in this world. The respect of others and their affection for you is an asset you should strive. Your character is a precious treasure that you should cultivate each day by wise choices.  Take good care of your name and put great emphasis on your reputation and relationships. But, don't ever forget to please God. Once you please the Lord over people, that is the time that people will look up to you more. Have a life with  honorable behavior, godly wisdom, moral courage and personal integrity. M

Dear Lord, I will reflect on Your presence who’s always there in love, in spite of many things that have a hold on me. I pause and pray that I may let You affect my becoming in this very moment. What is present to me is what has a hold on my becoming. Fill my spirit with Your peace and Your joy today. Thank You for giving me the great blessing of freedom of spirit. Let me never take this gift of freedom for granted. Help me to take refuge in Your loving heart no matter what will happen. ‘Coz You are my strength in times of weakness. Thank You for comforting me also in times of sorrow. We praise Your Name! Amen

Since God was the One who came into this earth first, we must seek Him first, too. It is because He knows everything, He is the best and He is our loving Creator. He also wants us to come to Him and be His friends and acknowledge Him as our Heavenly Father. Matthew 6:33 that we must seek His Kingdom first and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto us. If we just earnestly seek Him with all of our hearts and put Him first in everything, blessings and grace will follow. It is His promise. Once we trust in His Name and lean not on our own understanding, and once we acknowledge Him in every ways, He will direct our paths (Prov. 3:5-6). He will guide us to the best things in life. Not our will, but His will be done. In any decisions and plans that you will make, seek God first. Serve Him with all of our hearts without grumbling. Then, everything will just follow. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

Daily Prayer August 25, 2022

Dear Lord, I come before You today and I thank You for all the blessings that You have showered in my life. Many times my life is so full of busyness that I take for granted my relationship with You, please forgive me for that. I know that You never forsake me, for if You did my very life would cease to be. We really need You, Lord. By Your Holy Spirit, help us replace any selfish thoughts, words, and actions with things that please You and draw others to You. Guide me in my journey with You everyday. Help us to seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness above all else. Also, help us to put You first in everything that we will do. We want to glorify Your name by doing what You want for our lives. This is all we ask in Your mighty name. Amen.

When was the last time that you felt frustrated in a certain situation? How do you feel when your plans fail? Do not be disappointed if your are frustrated over things and when your plans fail. For it is written, God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts, so our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).  It is indeed a very comforting statement that God's thoughts are not our thoughts. It is because God is the best, so His ways and thoughts. He is perfect, so He thinks perfectly. If our plans fail, God has something best for us that cannot harm us. He wants us to prosper (Jer. 29:11).  It’s reassuring to know that the God, who is in control in everything, knows more than we know and has the best idea of what’s going on in our lives, world and future. It shows us also how smart our God is, smarter than all the minds in this world. No matter how far we accomplished and reached, God's way is still the best way. Even though we don’t understand everything about Him, that doesn’t prevent us from

Dear Lord, I will take refuge in Your loving heart today. You are my strength in times of weakness. And, You are my comforter in times of sorrow. Teach me to recognize Your hand at work in my daily living. Help me to never be too busy to find time to spend in Your presence. Thank You for always being there, waiting for me. Grant me this day Your grace that I may always remember Your will to me. Let me carry You as a voice to guide my every step. Help me to make every moment of my day, every word from my mouth, that I might live in Your presence. Amen
